In the Room
The new bedroom wing is to a high standard, aircon, coffee, big tv, and tastefully decorated. The restaurant/bar is to a surprisingly high standard. Excellent and just half a mile from belfast International airport.
Helpful and friendly staff. Upon arrival we werent allocated a room with a bath which we wanted so the staff immediatetly moved us to a new room.
It smelt a bit damp
In general the hotel has good spec, its a well designed on the outside, however the interior is fairly cramped, but maybe that is what they were aiming for! The decor is nice, very modern in the extension and they have managed to maintain a old/romantic/cosy feel to the initial part of the building, although this maybe too cosy for some folk..... The room itself is spotless, and the food is very nice, some comments I read prior to staying indicated food was pricey, I think for the quality you are getting it is indeed worth it!Also the hotel locations is exceptional if you are using Antrim International Airport.
The room we were allocated was ground floor, with a view of a pile of muck, when asked to change we were declined, now it was a personal thing, it felt very claustrophobic and dark. Also we woke up in the morning and there was a large leak from the roof! Probably something harmless from air-con maybe! I did not like the bar situation, there was no where to relax other then main reception or the restaurant area, which was quite cramped in my opinion and you could not have a private conversation without everyone else being involved! The staff were quite attentive overall, some elements of our requests (not major requests, just small things which would have made the stay perfect) were declined, one was the room swap, another was to have our meal at the table in the bar/restaurant we were at, this was declined as it was apparently booked for 8pm, we were moved, and to our dismay the table was still vacant at 2130, after we finished our meal!! These things happen though ;-).
The staff were very friendly, food and service excellent but lacks an area to relax with a drink after your meal, has a small bar but no room to sit at it, apart from two bar stools. A bar seating area away from the restuarant area would be good apart from that it gets 5 stars from me everytime
It is new, comfortable and clean - also great food
Internet does not work anywhere (rooms, lobbie, or restaurant), There is no transfer to Airport and Taxis are super unreliable and expensive (10 GBP for a 2 minute trip)
What can I say close to the airport, modern bedrooms, very clean and bed was so comfortable.24 Hour check in and very friendly staff.lovely surroundings very quiet.would definitely recommend people to stay here again and I will be returning myself.
Very close to the international airport - 5 min, 7 lbs taxi drive.
Staff very friendly, very close to airport, planes did not disturb. Food excellent
We were in a room with disabled shower room, the washbasin was minute and there was no shelf for toileteries. We wanted a continental breakfast, staff said that no one had ever asked for fruit but they did get us a bowl of fresh fruit which was eccellant.
friendly and clean, excellent service.
Value for money within 5 minutes of airport by car for early flight
Wonderful location, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and grand for short stay. Overall excellent hotel for pre or after flight, or just location and real atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Location close to Belfast Int Airport. Nice and relaxed, nice bar for a quiet drink. Included a week's car parking at Karl's Car Parking about one mile away and a a shuttle bus to the Airport. Good Value.
The hotel presents itself to the road as a traditional Irish Cottage but is enhanced by a modern extension on a grand scale. The Furnishing, style and service were extraordinary and the location - only 1 mile from the entrance to Belfast International Airport - could not be better.
It was close to the airport but not right on the property, so it was pretty quiet. The rooms were all renovated and nicely modern. It made our early morning flight a pleasure - in 5 minutes we had left the hotel and returned the rental car. Much cheaper than the hotel on the airport property. It was also an easy drive into Belfast for dinner the night before we left.
It's a small hotel with a nice homely feel to it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The room and beds were very comfortable .
The breakfast menu was a little bit limited. My friend is a vegetarian and would have liked more variety and possibly some fresh fruit would also have been nice.
